Recently, we got to get an interview with the
affiliate manager over at PKR poker, Margaret.
She answered several popular question. Read
below to learn a little extra about PKR.
Does PKR have anything special planned for the
future?
PKR is always planning for the future! We’re
constantly looking for ways to make the game more
fun and exciting to play. Last month we introduced a
new screen-in-screen format that makes it a lot
easier to multi-table (something a lot of players
where asking for)We also rolled out two new
environments – the TV studio and the home game.
We also introduced Premium freerolls to reward our
real money players. These are freerolls that you can
buy into with PKR points and play for cash prizes.
Of course we’ve still got a full schedule of regular
freerolls.
And of course there’s My PKR, where players can keep
track of their tournament wins, create blogs and
keep track of their friends.
There’s a lot coming up too, though we can’t be too
specific about it just now. But we can tell you to
keep your eye out for even more new environments,
even more realistic avatars with some cool new chip
tricks. Most exciting of all we’re working on a new
way to share your big wins (and funny moments) with
your friends – think of it as a hand history feature
with a big difference.
There has been talk that PKR is growing faster
than anyone thought. Is this “talk” true?
Well, we’re growing a lot faster than a lot of
people outside PKR thought! A lot of ‘experts’
didn’t give PKR much of a chance because we’re not
on a network and a lot of these experts just
couldn’t grasp the potential of what PKR is doing.
Luckily for us poker players like to make their own
minds up and the public’s response to the game has
been fantastic. Right now we’re the fastest growing
internet poker room in the world and that’s showing
no signs of slowing down – in fact the rate of new
players signing up to the site just keeps speeding
up. And players aren’t just signing up in record
numbers, they’re also playing more and staying
longer than they tend to on other poker rooms.
How can I be confident that my money is safe with
PKR?
Trust is really important in our business, that’s
why PKR chose to be licensed by the Alderney
Gambling Control Commission. Based in the British
Isles, they’re one of the toughest online gambling
jurisdictions out there and they impose a lot of
stringent rules on us that not every poker room has
to follow. One of those rules is that all money in
player accounts on PKR has to be ‘ring fenced’ in a
separate account that we can’t touch. In other
word’s we can’t use your money to run our business,
pay off other players or ‘invest’ in some other
venture. That’s not something every poker room can
say.
